Make the carrier familiar
Leave their carrier out a few days before the trip with a blanket that smells like home. Let them wander in and out on their own. If they travel in a harness instead, check it fits comfortably and tell us how they usually ride.
Pack a small travel bag
Their lead, a familiar blanket and any food they need at the other end are usually enough. Label everything with their name and tell us what’s in the bag so we can pass it on at the handover.
Keep the morning simple
A short walk, a quiet house and an unhurried goodbye help a lot. Have the carrier, bag and notes ready by the door, and we’ll take it from there when we arrive.
Your next conversation
Tell us where your pet is going, who will meet them at each end and the date you have in mind, or call us on (202) 555-0107. We’ll plan the trip with you.
