Dogs
Tell us how your dog usually rides: whether they watch the window, settle straight away or pace. Some dogs travel better after a walk, others with a familiar toy. We’ll plan their space around what you tell us.

Pet transport from Westmere, DC
A conversation before their first trip with us, for new customers and pets who aren’t confident travelers.
Many first-time travelers we meet live in Westmere. We start with a chat and plan a calm first trip around what your pet needs.
If your pet hasn’t traveled with us before, or doesn’t enjoy car rides, we start with a conversation. Call us or send a message and tell us how they usually travel, what they find hard and what helps them settle.
We’ll talk through their carrier or harness, how they react to being picked up, and anything that has worried you about past trips. Then we suggest the journey that fits, from a short local trip to a ride to their next appointment.
Everything you tell us goes on their travel notes, so the person collecting them and the person receiving them both know what helps. It takes a few minutes and makes a real difference to how the first trip feels.

A few details help us plan a calm trip and a clear handover. Have these ready when you get in touch and we’ll take it from there.
From the first message to the moment they’re handed over, here’s what a first journey discussion looks like with us.
Call us and we’ll talk through the date, both addresses and who will meet them.

On the day
Everything you told us goes on their travel notes, so both ends know what helps.
Tell us how your dog usually rides: whether they watch the window, settle straight away or pace. Some dogs travel better after a walk, others with a familiar toy. We’ll plan their space around what you tell us.
Many cats find travel unsettling. A familiar carrier, a blanket that smells like home and a covered door often help. Tell us how they react to being picked up and whether they prefer the carrier facing you or covered.
Two pets from one home? If you have two pets and only one is nervous, tell us. They may travel better together, or the nervous one may prefer some space.
Many Westmere homes are townhouses with doors close to the street. On busier roads, a side street or a rear entrance can make the handover calmer, so tell us if there’s a quieter option.
Gate and door codes stay with you. We’ll call when we arrive if anything is unclear.
If you live on a through-road, tell us about a quieter side street or rear entrance for the handover.
Have your dog on their lead before you open the door, so the hello is safe and calm.
Let us know where we can stop safely for a few minutes near your door.
We agree their setup and travel notes with you, and choose the right journey for their first trip.
We take our time with the hello and follow the notes you gave us.
We let you know how they traveled, so the next trip can be planned with even more care.
If plans change on the day. If you decide it’s not the right time for a trip, that’s fine. The conversation is there to help you decide, and their notes will be ready whenever you need us.
Tell us the pickup, the destination and who will meet them. We’ll plan the rest with you.
